Biologically Effluent Treatment Plants

VeCon - biological waste water treatment

The EvU® turbulence bed biofilm technology

  • Low investment and operational costs
  • High efficiency and process stability
  • Compact plant dimensions
  • Biological phosporus and nitrogen removal
  • Particularly suited for heavy load waste water like coke oven plant effluent
  • Particularly suited for upgrading of existing waste water treatment facilities

A biological process to remove organic substances, phosphorus and nitrogen from waste water.

The highly compact construction results in a low space requirement and provides a good integration into any landscape, particularly in sensitive areas. Any odour nuisance is eliminated. There is no noise pollution since the reactors do not have any mechanical noise sources.

Due to its extremely high stability and operational reliability this process is particularly well suited for seasonal load fluctuations and increasing requirements of purification capacities, also in small-scale facilities. The carrier biology is producing less excess sludge than a classical activated sludge plant.

A comparision by independent institutions has shown that this process yields the best economic results: lower initial investment and operating costs and in terms of technology ensures the highest level of operational reliability, process stability and lowest run-off parameters.
