The Charging Gas Transfer system basically consists of a charging gas transfer car with a U-tube, a high/ medium pressure water extraction system, a water-cup-sealing system, and a sealing frame on the SCP-machine or charging machine.

The U-tube allows a gas-tight connection between two ovens over the water cups. The charging gases resulting from the water content and the volatile components of the coal cake during feeding the ovens, are transferred over the U-tube into the adjacent oven, and supplied to the gas treatment system in the by-product plant.
