An essential element of the VeCon portfolio is the coke making technology using the compacted charging process – a process which has been proven to be a premier coking technology. The economic efficiency of this process for production of high-quality coke primarily results from the possibility of using a large amount of lower quality coals in the blend.

The compacted charging technology has been utilized for more than one century in by-product coking plants with horizontal chamber ovens: there it is entitled stamp charging technology. In the meantime, the compacted charging technology is also proofing it’s strengths in heat-recovery-plants – and is superior thanks to our continuous development of machine technology, also with regards to investment costs.

For VeCon it is self-evident to be able to offer also the belonging state-of-the-art pollution control facilities fulfilling all prevailing standards.

The scope of supply in the VeCon coke plant sector reaches from the design and construction of individual machines to the design of complete turn-key systems. World-wide partnerships with the leading manufacturers of coke oven batteries, gas cleaning equipment, energy generation, etc. are an important factor for VeCon to be a first address in the coke making technology sector.
